MOOnball
Moonball is a sport in which players compete by throwing Moonglow-coated balls - the game's signature feature - at their opponents within a designated play area. The balls emit a shimmering light and momentarily dazzle opponents upon impact.Out of Character Moonball uses the Dazzling Rod toy as the gameplay mechanic and is required. In-Character the game does not deploy magic wands.Player cap: 16
RULES OF PLAYMatch Format: Two players competing against each other.Starting the Game: Players must wait for the official countdown before throwing Moonballs.Play Area: Competitors must remain within the marked boundaries throughout the match.Elimination: A player is eliminated upon being hit three times.Fair Play: The use of spells and speed-enhancing items or enhancements is prohibited. Please remove any speed-enhancing gear and talents ahead of time.PRIZE:Fitting a celebration where stories are spun and songs of heroes sung; the victor will meet with a bard to have a song conjured about them! OOC the prize will be character song composed by the wonderful SHARM; the winner can discuss the specifics of the song with the artist to tailor it to their wishes.Additionally, all Moonball players will receive a token of participation, no matter how far they get in the competition. Here’s this year’s design - you may choose your favorite color option! Even though given as a token, I have no problem with a character gifting their pendant upon someone else.

Loremaster Tournament

Fireworks & Lantern Release
During the Lunar Festival, fireworks symbolize Elune’s power, and lanterns honor the souls of ancestor spirits.The event will conclude with a dazzling lantern and fireworks show, and word has it that even the Brilliant Organization of Operations Magic Technology Explosions and Craftsmanship, more commonly known as BOOMTEC, will be there to help with the pyrotechnics!To see all the particle effects during the Lantern Show, please adjust your game settings as follows:

Raffle
The raffle will be organized following the tournaments, ensuring everyone has a chance to participate — even those running market stalls or other activities earlier in the evening. This will conclude the night once the other activities have wrapped up.The raffle will include items related to the festival’s theme, offering another chance to learn about historical events and notable figures.There'll also be 1x custom item art to be won from Erika Sampaio. The winner can decide whether they'd like the artist to create for example a beautiful banner design (examples), a weapon, or other item from or for their character's inventory (1 item).
A person is eligible to win only one raffle prize at the event. Please don’t multibox for extra chances, to keep the draw fair. Trial Accounts will be excluded - the intention behind this is to deter multiboxing and to have the prizes go to people actively playing on the server.

Come and hear the tales of the world, traveler, and share your own to the festivities of the Lunar Festival. A time for reveling in the ancients who fought for our world, stories and kindship are the fundamentals that keep our world together, so that we may not commit the same mistakes that landed us where we are today.”Please come with prewritten material, be it a story, song or performance. No AI generated productions. Guided Dancing
Revelers will be guided through a couple lively and easy-to-follow choreographies, with each step clearly instructed so that no prior practice is needed. Background music will be played via the event's Music Room on Watch2Gether website, to set the festive mood. Hosted by Acrona and druid Bratus.CAPS will be used to indicate specific emotes, such as “One step forth! CLAP!” The dances are designed to be performed with a dance partner, and the hosts will try match everyone missing one! The dance roles won’t be gendered, and may be performed with a loved one or a stranger.
Costume Contest for pairs / groups
To join, you need a minimum of two players. The theme is heroes and villains of the War of the Ancients. Whether you wish to participate as Huln Highmountain joining the battle alongside Dungard Ironcutter, or with four people creating a Mannoroth costume together, the choice is yours!A jury will select their top three entries, and the audience will also have a chance to vote for their favorite! You're welcome to embellish your entrance with a small performance (optional).We expect contestants to find their partners or groups on their own before signing up for the contest. You may sign up at the event after the Guided Dancing has condluded. The goal is for players to think about how the costumes work together, either visually or on an idea level. All costume contestants will receive a token to take home with them, with some color options to choose from. The hourglass pendant symbolizes the journey through time.
Red Envelopes
Gift friends and family a bright red envelope, containing a surprise inside—whether it’s a special item or coins to spend at the Lunar Market on Friday. This gesture symbolizes good fortune and well-wishes for the year ahead. Attendees may do this activity at any time on their own.( Inspired by the Red Packets exchanged during Chinese New Year, these envelopes, while traditionally holding money, can contain surprise items as we see in the in-game celebration. If you’d like to give an in-game item, simply wrap it in red ribboned wrapping paper to create your own festive envelope! )
FOOd & Drink
The central building will serve as a lounge where delicious food and drink are available for purchase on Friday and Saturday, managed by Balturas, Renuath and Belara.
Music Stream
Theme-fitting music will play on both Friday and Saturday via Watch2Gether, to add another layer of immersion to the festivities. Expect some cheerful tunes for the market and tournaments, evocative melodies during the theater play, and groovy rhythms for the guided dancing.
